Birthday times two

August 13th was Kenlee's fourth birthday and Emerson's second. Both Kenlee and Emerson enjoy the  paint your own pottery places, so this year we brought it to our house to celebrate with our sweet friends.

The girls were entertained much longer than the boys but it was still so fun to watch all their creative little brains at work.

Eventually, the boys realized there were other things to do and headed off to play. (Look at my sweet friends precious new baby!! Just want to snuggle him so!!! What a trooper she was to venture out for us!)

So happy to have all his favorite people in one spot.

A few weeks before our party we had attended a sweet friend from schools birthday party and she had a piñata. Emerson thought this was the neatest thing ever invented and was thrilled to be able to hit something with a bat. When he saw candy fall out of it, the moment was priceless. As soon as we got home he was searching for sisters bat and hitting everything with it and saying. "Watch mommy, candy".  When we were out buying party decorations he saw them and was beside himself excited, so of course... we had to have it!

Measuring how much we've grown!

A few days later our sweet friend Sarah Carroll took these two precious kiddos pictures and grandma and grandpa joined in for some special memories! The last few family shoots have had both sets of grandparents, but this was short notice and my parents could not make it so we will grab some with them soon.

Kenlee Grace, you are such an amazing sister and daughter and constantly stop us in our tracks with your kind words and heart. You are confident, smart and do not sway on your opinions at all. You are orderly and analytical and so very different than mommy but in the most spectacular ways. Mommy and daddy prayed for you from when you were only a dream and we were blessed beyond what we could ever imagine. It is so hard to believe you turned four this year and we could not be more proud of the young lady you are becoming.  As I always say, being you and Emerson's mommy is the honor of my life and loving y'all is such a privilege. Thank you for making me a mommy four years ago!

Emerson Scott, your love for mommy, daddy and Kenlee melts our hearts. There has never been a time we have asked for a hug or a kiss that you do not stop whatever you are doing to run over to love on us. You are rough and tough and constantly making mommy's heart stop with all of your daring adventures. You are smart and have your daddy's sense of humor for sure. You certainly keep us on our toes every second of every day and we feel so blessed to be your parents. We know that God has big plans for both you and your sister and pray every day that we are encouraging your hearts and gently guiding you with the knowledge that time just flies by and we are just grateful for every single day we get to wake up and watch y'all grow. Thank you for completeing our little family two years ago!

Our whole world

 Happy Birthday Kenlee and Emerson
-Love Mommy and Daddy
